Why can't I log into this website with my username an password you gave me?

The username and password that you were given by us is only good in the Market Laptops and More app on your device.
You will receive your login within an hour of subscribing. CHECK YOUR SPAM email in case your email client has delivered it there.

You do not use that username and password on our website. This is how you can look up your own use service credentials on our website once you login with your email and password.

How do I create an Amazon account for my device?

DO NOT sign up for an Amazon.com account using the firestick and remote. Use a computer, tablet or smartphone to do this as it is easier and faster.
Instructions below:

Go to the Amazon home page, Amazon.com, and look at the top bar on their website.

Look for “Accounts & Lists” on the right side of the bar. You want to hover your mouse over this until a drop down appears.

In the drop down box there will be a yellow sign that says “Sign In”. You want to click the link underneath that, “New Customer? Start here.” You should see something like the image below.

Fill out your information to create your Amazon account that your device needs in order to work.

You’re almost done! After filling our everything you’re going to go to Amazon.com/mykps and sign in using the login information you just created.

Optional, if you want to install apps:

  • Choose or add a billing adress
  • Select a payment method “Enter card info” (NOTE: If you are not comfortable adding in your payment information, use an empty gift card and use that information in the “Add Payment” section)
  • Confirm – USE THIS ADDRESS
  • Your card information will appear in an orange box saying “Debit/Credit Card ending in ____, Name _____, Expires ____” Look to the right side of the screen and in a yellow box it will say “Continue”. Click this and you’re done!
How do I connect my Firestick to my Internet/Wi-Fi?

Your Firestick needs internet to work.
Just like a tablet or a computer, it needs to connect to the internet to work.
You can either connect your Firestick to your WiFi Network, or hard wire it to your router to get the fullest potential from your internet.
These are the two different ways to connect to internet.

How to connect to your WiFi 

If you have internet at home, you will likely have Wifi as well. 
When you plug it into your television for the first time, it will prompt you to select which Network is your internet Network at home.
Pick whichever selection that is the name of your router, and then it will ask for your WiFi password.
WE DO NOT KNOW YOUR PASSWORD.
Your password will either be on your actual router listed under the router name on a sticker, or it may be written down somewhere on the paperwork you received when your router was installed by your ISP. 
Your password will be case sensitive, so make sure you are entering it correctly with all the letters, numbers and symbols it may require. If it is a capital letter, enter the capital. Same with lowercase.

If you are unsure that you have WiFi or do not know your password, CONTACT YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER, NOT US.

We have NOTHING to do with your internet. You likely pay another company a monthly fee for the internet coming into your home and it is not us.
Whether it’s Comcast, Spectrum, CenturyLink or any other internet provider, you will need to contact them to either tell you your password or reset it for you.

How to hard wire your Firestick to your router

If you are wanting to connect your Firestick directly to your router, also known as hard wiring it to get more speeds and the fullest potential from your internet service, then you will need an adapter, that will plug into a wire, and go directly from the back of our router and into your Firestick.

Tips for Buffering

What can I do about buffering?

If you’re using the Market Laptops and More Premium Service, we have HD and SD options for most of the sources. SD requires less bandwidth to play smoothly than HD.
Do a search for the source you are looking for to find them labeled appropriately by:
> going into the first blue box on the left in the Market Laptops and More app.

> select “ALL”

> press up ONCE on your remote to get to the magnifying glass in the upper right corner and press enter.

> type in your search and press “next” on the bottom right of your screen.

If every source is buffering on your premium, log out and log back into the app and try the rest of the tips in this list.
Your account is on the main page of your Market Laptops and More app. There will be a “power” looking icon in the upper right hand corner of the main page of the app. Press enter on it and log out of the app, then log back in.

If only one or two sources are buffering, it is likely that particular source and you’ll need to follow the instructions given above to find another source.

If all of your sources are buffering, it is likely your internet.

Is your router close to your device?
If your router is in another room or in your garage, your signal needs to pass through multiple walls to reach your device. This may be causing issues on why your wifi signal may be weak.

Is your router rather old?
If your router is older or you are using a rental from your Internet Service Provider, it may not be sufficient enough to route your signal to your device. We suggest maybe looking into getting your own router that will fit the needs of your household.
We recommend the Nighthawk X6, but if you go to Best Buy, you can tell them your needs and they are usually very good and finding what the right fit for you is. Any X series Netgear router is a great option.

Are you sharing your bandwidth with other devices?
If you have computers, tablets, phones, wifi cameras, any devices that take from your bandwidth, then you are sharing your MBPS with those devices and may not be getting sufficient MBPS to utilize our app. See if you can disconnect devices you are not using so you can get the full potential from your Premium Service app. Even if you have smart TV’s that are on and connected to the internet, it is taking bandwidth from your wifi. Turn wifi any device that you are not using off to help with this

Are you using your multiple band router if you have one?
Find out if you have more than one frequency band on your router and divide your devices between them. We recommend putting your devices close to your router on the 5GHz and the ones further away on the 2.4GHz. Some routers have up to 10 bands!
Find out what you have and see if you can divide and conquer. You can also prioritize your devices if you are on a mesh router or have a router that allows this and you may watch your device load.

Have you tried restarting your modem/router?
Also called “power cycling”.
Routers/modems are like small computers. They use memory, a processor, and an operating system and they too benefit from a fresh reboot every now and then. If you leave your modem on for too long, it will tend to stop performing at its best after a while. Rebooting your modem can fix internet connection and resolve wireless issues, which can affect your Live TV service that is being transmitted over an internet connection.By unplugging the power cord from the back for at least 10 seconds, you are giving it the breather it needs. Try staying proactive and unplug it every month to start.

Try a different “player” to play your VOD or 24/7 sources.
Play these on VLC Player (may be downloaded for free in the Amazon app store) because of the codecs.
Try “VLC” or  “MX Player” to see what works best foryou on Live TV. They handle audio and video codecs differently.

Clear Cache on your device.
You may do this by going to the Home page of your device and in the settings. For Firesticks:
> Go to the Homepage. (if you are unsure you are there, press the button on your remote with the House on it once)
> Go all the way to the right to “Settings”
> “Aplications”
> “Manage Installed Applications”
> Find the Market Laptops and More app in the list that comes up and press enter.
(Forewarning: DO NOT UNINSTALL)
> Carefully…go down to “Clear Cache” and then “Force Stop”. (you will not visibly see anything happen when you do these two things)
DO NOT UNINSTALL
> Then “Launch Application”

Have you ran a speed test on your wifi?
If you are running your speedtest from a computer that is hard wired (plugged into) your router, this will not give you an accurate test for you WiFi. 
WiFi is wireless internet. Your Firestick is most likely not wired directly into your router like your computer and you lose Mbps over wireless internet.
We recommend a free app that you can download onto your Firestick called “Analiti”.
> To download it, go to the homepage of your Firestick. If you are unsure where that is, press the home button on your remote and it will take you to the homepage of the Firestick.
> Click left on your remote to the magnifying glass in the upper left hand corner of your television screen.
> A keyboard will show. Type in “Analiti”.
> Once you are finished typing, you can go to your search result under the keyboard and press enter to download it.
> once downloaded, open that app and it will automatically run a test on your WiFi going directly to your device.
The number we are looking for is the number in front of the word “down”. 
The Premium Service app needs at least 45-50 Mbps of STABLE internet to run without issues.
(read the next tip on why STABLE internet is more important than a high numbered speed)

If you are not getting that, then this may contribute to your issue. You can either troubleshoot with the rest of the tips in this section to see if it helps, get WiFi boosters, or call your ISP and see about getting higher speeds.
If you are paying for more than what you are seeing, you may want to call your ISP and see what is up. There could be an issue with your lines or need to upgrade your router. It could be one thing, or a few things that could be causing this issue.

Are you having latency issues?
Latency = delay. It is the amount of delay (or time) it takes to send information from one point to the next. Latency is usually measured in milliseconds or ms. It’s also referred to (during speed tests) as a ping rate.
In this case, how long it takes to get your internet signal from your provider to your home.
You can also see what your latency is like in the Analiti app we mentioned above in the “detailed test” section of the Analiti app.
A good number to stay under for streaming is 30ms.
If there is delay in your internet, then this will explain why when you are trying to watch live TV there is also a delay. It may not be stable enough to keep up with a live program.

Have you tried hard-wiring your device to your router?
Just like if you hardwire a computer to your router with an ethernet cable, you can hardwire your device to your router in the same way. This way, you’ll likely get the fullest potential of your internet because you loose MBPS over wifi. It’s the downfall of wireless internet, but most of the Internet Providers offer bigger numbers to make up for this.
Some of our CenturyLink customers have found that hardwiring their devices using an the adapter sold by Amazon.com helps. 

Is your internet being throttled?
Throttling, is the process of an ISP purposely slowing down an internet user’s data transmission. Sometimes you’ll see lower speeds that are difficult to explain and aren’t attributed to equipment issues. You won’t always receive a clear notification that your connection is throttled despite rules that pressure telecom companies to inform you, so the uncertainty regarding your slower connection can be incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, most ISP’s have started noticing when a user initiates a speed test and stop throttling for the duration of the test. So, the speed test results look normal, but can begin throttling again once the result of the test is given. Who do you recommend for Internet Service Providers?
In our opinion, CenturyLink and HughNet have very bad latency issues and are not recommended for streaming usage.
We seem to have little to no complaints from our Comcast, Spectrum and Cox customers.

Why doesn't my Fire Stick remote work?

You might have to replace the batteries in the remote control, sometimes the ones they come with lose charge quickly. Turn over Fire Stick and slide up the bottom cover, then you can replace batteries with 2 AAA.
You will want to use fresh ones, that have a full charge as opposed to ones that have been sitting in a drawer for awhile.

IF YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE YOUR NEW 4K REMOTE PAIR TO YOUR TELEVISION, PLEASE REFER THE FAQ BELOW, “Why won’t my new 4K remote control my TV?”

Your remote also may have unpaired itself from the stick. if that is the case, you may be able to pair it back up.

If you have a newer remote with volume control and power on/off:

– Unplug your Firestick from it’s power source and plug it back in.
– Once the Firestick gets to the homepage, point the remote at your Firestick and hold down the button on the remote with the house on it.
– Keep holding it down until an orange light starts blinking in the upper right hand corner and then let go.
– It will keep blinking a it searches for your Firstick.
– If the orange light turns blue, then you have successfully paired your remote to your Firestick.
– It may take a few tries to pair it. But continue trying and it should work.

If you have an older remote without volume control and the on/off button:

– Follow the same steps above but there will be no light.
– Just get as close as you can to your Firestick while holding down the button with the house on your Firestick remote until it pairs.
– The older remotes are much more finicky but keep trying and it should work .

If you have other Firesticks in your home plugged into power, they might interfere with the pairing so make sure the other devices are unplugged from power.

Alternatively, if your remote has gone dead, which may happen, you can use your smartphone to control your Firestick with the “Amazon FireTV App”.
It is free to download and can also be used to pair your remote back to your device in the rare case that this has happened.
Once you download that app, you can register your device and then go to “Settings”.
Then “Controllers and Bluetooth Devices”.
Once in, you can add your remote by following the instructions on adding another remote.

You may also purchase another remote on the Amazon website and it should easily pair to your device.

Why won't my Firestick remote control my TV's volume and power?

To pair your new 4K remote to your television at home, follow these instructions:

go to the homepage of your Firestick.
(if you are unsure where that is, just press the home button on your remote.)
> go to “settings” in the upper right corner.
> go to “equipment control”
> “manage equipment”
> “tv”
> “change tv”
it will then prompt through instructions on pairing your tv.

FYI: The new remotes will not power on and pff your television and work volume if you have an older stick purchased from before OCT 2018.
They only work with the new Firesticks with the updated software.

Use this button to turn ON/OFF your television.

ALEXA SPEAKER AND MICROPHONE
Hold down the Alexa “microphone” button and speak into the microphone to use her, like a walkie talkie.
We would utilize her carefully though, because she still works Amazon and will likely take you to paid content. For more detailed information about Alexa and how to use her, refer to our FAQ below titled “How do I use Alexa voice on my remote?”

DIRECTIONAL and ENTER BUTTONS
There is an inner circle and an outer circle on your remote. The outer circle is used for directional button. Up, Down, Left, and Right.
Click up to go up, down to go down, left to go left and right to go right. 
The middle/center button is the enter/select.
To make a selection, press this button

HOME BUTTON
Anytime you want to go back to the homepage of the Firestick press this button once.

BACK BUTTON
To go back to the previous screen, press this button once. To go back to the screen before that, press it again, etc.

OPTIONS BUTTON
You will not use this button often, but this usually referred to as the options button to give you more options on a selection.

PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON
Utilize this button to Play and Pause your TV show or Movie. You will not be able to use this option in the live Premium Service except for in the “catch up” section.

FORWARD/REWIND BUTTONS
These will fast forward and rewind your TV Shows and movies that are not live.

VOLUME CONTROL
Use these buttons to control the volume up and down on your television.
(not available with all models)
If your new remote that has this feature does not control your volume, refer to the FAQ above titled “Why won’t my new remote control my TV?”

MUTE
This button will mute your volume/television.
(not available with all models)

How do I use Alexa Voice on my remote?

Be very careful on how you use Alexa on your Firestick. She comes in very handy, but will likely ask you to pay for things because she works for Amazon, and you purchased an Amazon device.
Make sure that you are in a SEARCH BAR in one of apps before using her.

When you’re ready to utilize her, hold down the microphone button on your remote and say what you are searching for, then let go of the button when done speaking, similar to a walkie talkie.
A search bar will look like a keyboard. You will likely click on a “magnifying glass” in one of the apps to get the search bar.

If you’re bring asking to pay for anything, Alexa has likely not taken you to the correct place.
Our apps will not ask you to pay for anything.

I have more than one TV in my home. Do I need a Firestick for each one?

Not really. You can move the device from TV to TV as you move from room to room, but if your spouse would like to watch something in the living room while you watch something different in the bedroom, then yes.
Also, this is a good place to point out that each Premium Service account (The Market Laptops and More App) has a max of 2 connections. Your $15 for one account can potentially cover all the devices in your home.
You may have as many TV’s in your home with Firesticks logged into the app, but only 2 of those devices would be able to run at the exact same time. This restriction is only for the Market Laptops and More App. The other apps we program onto the device can be used at anytime.

Why is my Firestick is cycling through the statup logo and won't go further?

If your device is cycling through the startup page with the Amazon logo and will not go further, it is is likely because of a few reasons:

1. You are not using the cords and wall plug that came in the box from the factory.

These devices are not like cellphones and need the proper power source. If you do not use the cords that came in the box from the factory, you are risking burning your device out by using too much power wattage or it is not getting enough power from it being under powered.

2. You are not using the extender/dongle that came in the box.

Failing to use the extender/dongle that came in the box can cause your device to overheat and it will become useless. Always use the extender to prevent this from happening. You are not warranted if you overheat your device and it no longer works.

3. The outlet or power strip you have your device plugged into may be defective.

Try a different power source to find out if this is the case.

Market Laptops and More Premium Streaming Package

If I have two Firesticks, do I need two Premium Service accounts?

You may have as many Firesticks as you wish in your home with your username and password logged into our app.
But, only two of those devices will be able to run our app at exactly the same time.
For example, you can watch the Golf Channel in the living room and your spouse can be watching the Hallmark Channel in the bedroom at the same time, but if another person tries to watch a channel in the app, it will not let them connect until either you, or your spouse gets out of the app.
This restriction is only for our app. The third, forth, fifth, and so on can watch a movie or television show in Cinema or use any of the other apps. 

Why can't I login to my Premium?

HOW TO LOG INTO THE PREMIUM SERVICE FOR FIRST TIMERS:

You will need to find the Market Laptops and More App on your actual Firestick/Device
It will look like a black circle with the words “Market Laptops and More” in it.

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE FIGURING OUT HOW TO USE YOUR REMOTE, please refer to our FAQ above that details how to use the remote that came with your device titled “How do I use the Firestick remote?”

If you are having a hard time finding the app, long press the Home button on your remote (it has a house on it) until a menu comes up on your television screen.
Choose the icon that reads “Apps” under it.
This action will bring up every app that is installed on your device. Look for the app we described above in this list.
Once you find it, press enter on your remote after highlighting it (making the icon big). This will open our app and will bring you to the log in screen where you will enter in the Username and Password we sent you by either text or email.
First click down to the Username section and press enter on your remote to pull up a keyboard so you may type in your Username.
Use the Up/Down/Left/Right on your remote to choose your numbers and letters. 
Be sure to enter in you Username and Password all lowercase and no spaces.
Then go down to the bottom right of the screen to “Next” and press enter.
On the next screen it will prompt you to enter in your Password. Follow the same instructions as above and press “Next”.
It will bring you back to the log in screen and the “Log In” button should already be highlighted. Press enter again on your remote to log in.
You should see a white screen that says “Please wait while we are getting things ready for the first time.”
You will see this screen every time you turn on your device for the first time each day.

IF YOU HAVE FOLLOWED THESE STEPS AND STILL CANNOT GET INTO THE APP:

  1. Double check and make sure the username and password is typed in exactly as it was sent to you. Make sure there are NO capitals and NO spaces.
  2. If everything suddenly stops working, your account has probably expired. Notify us by text message to see if you are expired or you can look at the date at the bottom of the main screen of your Market Laptops and More app to see if it has expired. If you are expired, you may renew with the options in the above FAQ regarding renewing and payment options.
  3. If you double checked the username and password, there’s a possibility we may have typed it in wrong. Send us a text message and we will double check it.
How do I renew my Premium Service on this website?

♦ You have a few options on how to renew your Monthly Premium Service. You may put a one time, one month of service into your cart from our shop on this website and check out with a Credit, Debit or Paypal.

♦ You can also set up a card on your account
and have it automatically come our every month.

Instructions on how to set that up in our FAQ titled: “Can I set up the monthly charge for my Premium Service to automatically come out of my bank account?”

♦ We also accept cash, check or card at any of our locations.

Please allow up to 3 business days to process renewals to account for bank delays and days that we are closed. We are closed Tuesday and Thursday and DO NOT process renewals on those days.
Cut off time for processing renewals is 6PM on our working days. We don’t process renewals after that time so be sure to pay before you expire.

You may pay for 1 month of service ahead of time. You are welcome to renew before your actual expiration date so you dont have lapse or delay in your service. $15 will add an additional 30 days to your service. You will not lose any days by renewing early.

Can I set up the monthly charge for my Premium Service to automatically come out of my bank account?

You can now set up automatic recurring payments to have your Premium Service renewed every month with a Credit or Debit card.

The new Auto Pay feature will automatically send us payment for your renewal, but we still need to manually extend your service in our system.

 You will not lose any of your prepaid days by paying early, it only adds an extra 30 days of service to your existing expiration date. We also need the extra 3 days to process your payment in case of our days off and holidays.

If you have signed up for Auto Pay on or after your expiration date we will change your next payment date to 3 days prior to your next expiration date so that there is not a lapse in your service.

Instructions below on how to set up Auto Renew:

You will then be brought to the options to manually submit payment every month. These are NOT Auto Renew, they are one time payments. Go to the option to the left of of your screen in the column that states “Premium Service AUTO PAY” and click on it.

 

Your next choices are to sign up to Auto Pay with your preference of Adult channels or Clean channels. Choose carefully and accordingly by clicking which you wish to have.

 

In this example, we have chosen to sign up for AUTO PAY with ADULT channels. Click the “SIGN UP NOW” button.

 

On this next page you MUST fill out your First and Last name associated with your Market Laptops and More APP as well as your USERNAME. 
Do not put in your spouses information if the account is under your name. 
Do not put your home number in if the account is associated with your cell number.

DO NOT INPUT THE USERNAME FOR THIS WEBSITE IN THE USERNAME SECTION.

Your Username is NOT an email, it will likely be your first name followed by numbers that we issued you via text or email. ( for example john12345 )

 

If you don’t already have an account with our website, it will ask you to create one with an email and a password of your choosing. Go ahead and register so you can save your orders and manage your Auto Pay subscription.

 

After you also fill out your address, phone number and email address and password, if you do not already have an account with this website, enter in the Credit or Debit card you wish to place on file for us to take your $15 a month from and then “PLACE ORDER”.

Where did my adult content go?

Adult content is located as the very last category in your premium, all the way at the bottom.

When renewing your premium package, always include whether you want adult or clean every time you renew. If no preference is chosen, we will automatically default your account to clean as a security measure in case there are children in your home. If you have clean and would like the adult content added, add an additional month to your premium and make sure to include adult in the notes section or purchase the adult package in our shop and we will change your current term and renewal term over to adult.

How do I get rid of or hide the adult content or other categories I do not want?

There is a parental control for the adult content or if you wish to hide them for each device that you have in your home. Here are the instructions on how to put a parental lock on them as well as other categories that you either want to hide or are not interested in:

>Open the Market Laptops and More app.
> In the main page of the Market Laptops and More app click on the icon that looks like a “gear” in the upper right hand corner of your television screen.
> Click on the box that reads “Parental Control”.
> It will prompt you to make up a password. You will need to enter it twice with your remote by using the up/down/left/right buttons. Confirm it in both boxes and press “save”
> On the next page, it will bring up a list of all the categories that are offered on your Premium Service. Go all the way to the bottom to the “Adults Only” category and press enter so that the lock changes to the locking position. You may do this to any other category that you wish to hide and it will not show on the main category page.
> You may back out by pressing the back button.
If you wish to “unlock” any of the categories, then do these steps all over again, but this time input the password that you chose and you may unlock them this way.

How do I use the Premium Service?

IMPORTANT: You will need our Market Laptops and More app on a device and a username and password assigned by us to utilize our app.

Once we issue you a username and password, you may sign into our app and start using your service.

(please note, that the username and passwords we issue you do not work for this website. You do not need a username and password to make a purchase on our site, but if you wish to have one, you need to create one yourself with an email and a password of your choosing)

HOW TO USE THE PREMIUM SERVICE

You will need to log into the Premium service by entering in the username and password that we gave you. It would have most likely been send via text message to the phone number you signed up under or emailed to you.
As soon as you find the Market Laptops and More App, (it will look like a black circle with the words “Market Laptops and More” in it) open it by pressing the middle button on your firestick remote.
You will see the log in screen where you will enter in the credentials that we sent you.
After logging in, you will have blue and gray boxes to choose from on the next screen. Go into the “Live TV” box.
The next page will be all the categories in gray boxes. You may peruse though and find what you would like to watch this way or you can go into the “ALL” box and do a search.

SEARCH:
To do a search, click into the “ALL” box as instructed above. Then click up on your remote ONCE ONLY to the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of your screen and press enter.
A keyboard will come up and you may type in the Network you would like to watch, (not the tv show, not the channel number), then press next on the bottom right.
Your search results will show in a column on the left. Choose which you would like to watch by scrolling down and highlighting it in orange.
Press enter once to preview what is playing in the upper right corner and press enter again to make it full screen.

ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE:
You may install the “EPG” which stands for “Electronic Program Guide” from the main page of the Market Laptops and More app. If you haven’t done so yet, you will have a box that reads “Install EPG”. If you have already installed it, it will read “Live with EPG”.
This will give you the “look like cable” feel. You can save a few favorites and pull up the guide this way from your Favorites category, or you can look through the categories and see what is playing in each. We do not recommend trying to pull up the guide for all. This would take a very long time. Try a smaller category or again, your Favorites instead.
NOTE: You cannot save favorites from the EPG section. Only in the “Live TV” section/box can you save favorites.
You will likely not see a guide for the Locals Networks because it may be unavailable, but if you wish to you can save the National Network into your Favorites, for example National ABC, and the only difference will be the commercials and of course, the News.
If for some reason the guide doesn’t seem to fit the channels you are trying to watch, you can refresh the TV Guide by going to the “three dots” in the upper right corner of your television screen and press enter. There, a menu will come up and you may refresh your TV guide there. You may also Refresh your channels there to see if we have added any new content since your last log in.

FAVORITES:
To go back to the list, press the back button.
To add a channel to favorites, long press the middle button on your remote until a menu comes up on your television screen and “add to favorites”.
This will put a star next to it and will now be saved in the “Favorites” box that is located in the category section. To remove from favorites, you may do the same action and it will remove the star.

RECORDING AND CATCH UP SECTION:
We don’t have a feature to record and are legally unable to help with that, but can tell you Google is a very good resource. However, there is a “Catch up Section” on the main page of the app. Instead of clicking into the “Live TV” box like normal, you can click into this box and some Networks, not all, will be offered in category form.
Pick which category your Network would normally be listed in. For example, “ABC” would be in the USA Entertainment Category.
It will likely have 2 to 5 days of saved programming in this section that you may watch before it is replaced by the next 2 to 5 days.
Alternately, you can watch the TV Shows you missed in the app called Cinema often next day.
Full instructions on how to utilize that app is in this same FAQ section below under “Apps”.
The FAQ will be titled “How do I use Cinema?”

SUBTITLES AND CLOSED CAPTIONS:
Because our service is sources from multiple sources worldwide, not every channels will offer subtitles.
To see if your particular channel offers subtitles you will need a different player to sort this out.
Highlight which channel you would like to check for subtitles and hold down the center button on your remote as if you were to save it to your favorites.
When the menu comes up on your screen, go down to “Play with VLC Player” and select it.
It will likely prompt you to download this app so you may utilize it. Go ahead and do so.

(If there is a “purchase failure”, this means you do not have a payment option saved to your Amazon account and need to upload one through a computer, tablet or smartphone. Even though this app and many others may be free to download, you need a card on file to download apps. If you do not wish to upload your card information onto your Amazon account, then you can simply input an empty gift card into it.)

Moving on, once the app is downloaded, you will be able to go to the bottom and left of the play/pause button and select the subtitles bubble and choose “Subtitles”.
On the next menu, “Closed Captions 1” seems to work the best.
Wait a moment for them to load up to see if your particular channels offer subtitles for that network.

How can I change the time from Military to regular hourly time?

If you prefer to change your time setting from Military to regular hourly increments, go here”

> Open the Market Laptops and More App to the main page where the “Live TV” box is.

> Go to the “Settings” icon in the upper right hand corner that looks like a “gear”.

> Go to the “Time Format” box and press enter on your Firestick remote. 

> Change it to “12 Hours Format” and be sure to press enter on the “Save Changes” button.

How do I find out when my expiration date is for my Premium Service?

The expiration date for your service will always be at the bottom of main page of the Market Laptops and More app. 
We would have also sent you a text of your expiration date when you first received your username and password as well as send you a confirmation via text or email when you renew.

If you have paid and the date is wrong on your screen, log out of the Market Laptops and More app by going to the “power” looking icon in the upper right hand corner of your television screen and press enter to log out, then log back in.
This will refresh your expiration date on your screen.
Because our service is a pre-paid, no contract service, you are responsible for renewing before your expiration date. You may pay for up to 6 months of service ahead of time. You are welcome to renew before your service expires. $15 will add an additional 30 days to your service. You will not lose any days by adding time to your service. I paid to have my Premium Service renewed, why haven't I been renewed yet?

If you have paid via our website and have not been turned back on or informed of your new expiration date, it’s likely because you either paid on a day that we are off or you paid after 6pm on our working days.

We are CLOSED Tuesday and Thursday and DO NOT process renewals on those days.

You also may have failed to follow our instructions and submit your payment with the proper information. IE Username that was given to you when you signed up.

Please allow for up to 3 business days to process your renewal to accommodate for bank delays and days that we are off.
We are closed Tuesdays and Thursdays and DO NOT process renewals on those days. The cut off time for our processing department is 6pm on our working days only and we renew in the evening time after work. You are more than welcome to renew any time before your actual expiration date. $15 will add an additional 30 days to your existing expiration date and you will not lose any days by renewing early. 
The expiration date that is on the home page of the Market Laptops and More app is the actual date that your service expires.

I renewed my Premium Service, so why is my date wrong on my screen?

If you have paid and the date is wrong on your screen, log out of the Market Laptops and More app by going to the “power” looking icon in the upper right hand corner of your television screen and press enter to log out, then log back in.
This will refresh your expiration date on your screen.

Why is my sound and picture not matching on the Premium Service?

If your sound and picture are not matching on your Market Laptops and More app try this:

> Open the Market Laptops and More app.
It looks like a “gear” in the upper right hand corner of your television screen inside the app.
> Go to the box that reads “Player Selection” and press enter.
> Select “Built in Player (default)” and save changes at the bottom of the screen.
> Press the back button on your remote to go to the previous screen. (it looks like the sideways u-turn)
> Next, go to the “Player Settings” box.
> Make sure only “Native” has a check mark next to it and save changes at the bottom.

If this does not fix your issue, let us know via text or email.

Why are my Favorites disappearing, or when I try to go into my Favorites it kicks me out?

We add and take away channels as you find better sources for them and our development team tried to add better sources for the Local News Networks and if you had some of the old sources for those networks, they source in your favorites will no longer work. 
You will just need to find our new source and save that into your favorites.

If you cannot get into your favorites at all, meaning, you click on the category and it kicks you back to the main page, this means that one of those sources no longer available was saved as your first channel in your favorites line-up.
If that source is no longer available, the app cant let you into your favorites category because the first channel automatically plays when you click into any category.

The good news is we have a fix for you to do yourself at home.
The sort of bad news is that it will delete all of your favorites and the data from your app, so this means that you will have to sign back in as if were your first time.
Instructions for this fix are at the bottom of this post.

INSTRUCTIONS TO DELETE DATA FROM APP

-Go to the homepage of your Firestick.

-Go to “settings” in the upper right corner of you television screen.

-Go to the icon that says “applications”.

-“manage installed applications”

-find the Market Laptops and More app in the list that comes up and press enter.

-in the menu on the next screen, go to the bottom and IN THIS ORDER;
“clear cache”
“clear data”
“force stop”
“launch application”

Log in like normal and this will fix your favorites issue.

Why are the apps asking me to install updates or new versions?

If KODI asks you to update, please be sure to select “Normal Install” NOT “Fresh Install”.
This will result in deleting your build out of KODI and then we will need to program it back onto your stick.
KODI is a complicated program to install so use caution not to do this or you’ll need to comply with a $10 charge for us to put it back on for you at one of our locations.

All the other apps aren’t complicated like KODI, so if any other app asks you to update, always choose to update so you may have a better experience as the developers update them to fix bugs and enhance features.

If an app prompts an update and will not let you choose to do so, you should be able to hit the back button on your remote. (it looks like a sideways u-turn)

How do I use Cinema?

To use Cinema, simply open the app, and when the homepage loads you can watch almost any TV Show or Movie that has ever been on television or in theaters. 

IMPORTANT: DO NOT PRESS DOWNLOAD ON ANY MOVIES WITHIN THIS APP.

This will result in taking up space on your device and cause processing and storage issues.

When you go into the app the most recent movies come up by default. 
The Menu is the three lines in the top left corner of your screen. When you click on it, it will come out from the left hand side of your television screen and from there, you will be able to switch to “TV Shows” and your “Favorites”. Those will be the only places in that menu you will need to go for the time being.
To the left of the Menu are the categories or genres that you may choose from in each section of either TV Shows or Movies. Click the down arrow to the right of the word “Popular ” or “Top Rated” and you will be able to choose the genre of whichever Movie or TV Show you would like to watch.
If you are looking for a specific Movie or TV Show, then go to the top right corner and click the magnifying glass. Type in what you are searching for and click “Next”.
Yes, you will likely see your selection pulling up behind your search on the left hand side of the screen, but you will not be able to go there. Just finish typing your search and press “Next”.
Your search results should come up on the screen. If you get a sad face, it may have bugged and just go to the search bar again, this time in the upper left where you’ll see what you searched for with your remote and a drop down menu will show. Find your show there and try to select it.
If nothing still comes up, then you likely have picked something rare and will either need to wait until a later time for a source, or try a different app, like TeaTV or FreeFlix.

TV SHOWS:
If you found your show, select it and all the seasons of that show will come up starting at the earliest, working its way down to the very recent season. Click on which season you wish to watch and then it will prompt you to choose an episode.
You will see the episodes listed at the top starting at 1 on ongoing. Use your directional buttons to go left or right to each episode and when you have decided which to watch, go to the play button in the middle of the screen and press enter.
From there, it will pull up a list of all the links you may choose from to watch that one episode. 
This list is everywhere on the internet this particular Movie or TV show is.

We recommend “Fastserver” or “Googlevideo” links. “Rapidvideo” works well too. If you don’t see either of those we suggested, that’s ok, just pick a link to start with. Once you click on one, select “play” and your show will start on the screen. 

If your show buffers, hit the back button on your remote and it will bring you back to the link list.
The list is organized by file size from biggest to smallest.
Pick another link. This time, one of a smaller file.
For instance, if you chose a “2.1GB” file, your internet may be having trouble handling that size of a file and you’ll need to choose a smaller file. Try something in the “MB”. Those are smaller.

MOVIES:
You’ll need to be in the Movie section to watch a movie or you would have found your movie by doing a search. Once you pick the movie you wish to see, if you have an earlier than 2.0 version of Cinema, you will need to scroll down the page with your remote to find the links to the word “Streams”. Under that word is where you will find all the links for this movie. Follow the same recommendations as the TV Show section concerning the best links and file sizes.

If you have the newer 2.0 version or higher of Cinema, then the links will be in a column on the right as soon as you pick the movie. Same rules apply to playing it.

DO NOT CLICK “TRAILER”

DO NOT SELECT THE “DOWNLOAD” BUTTON TO WATCH YOUR MOVIE. 

DO NOT SELECT “WATCH VIDEO” IN THIS SCREEN

NETFLIX, HULU AND AMAZON PRIME ORIGINALS FOR FREE:
If you are trying to watch Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime originals for free, go to the menu and make sure you have selected TV Shows.
The menu is the three lines in the upper right hand corner of your television screen within the Cinema app. Go to the three lines and press enter.
Select “TV Shows” and press enter on your remote.
Once you have done that, go directly to the right where the genre menu is (an upside down arrow)  and press enter. Then go all the way down to the bottom of the list that drops down to find the Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Originals.
Once you find a movie or show that you like to watch, you can add them to your favorites by filling in the heart that should be on the page of the TV show or Movie.

FAVORITES:
If you have TV Shows that you follow weekly, or Movies that you want to save to watch later, you can use the Favorites feature by filling in the “heart” that is in the “Overview” screen about your particular TV show, the heart is in the main page of the particular Movie you chose. It will automatically save to the favorites category in the Menu (the three lines in the upper left hand corner of your television screen)
To fill in a heart, just go to it and press enter on your remote and “fill” it in to save to favorites.
Once you’ve watched the Movie or want to remove a TV show from your Favorites, just do the same action to “unfill” the heart and it will disappear from your favorites category.

How do I watch Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Originals?

In order for Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Originals to remain free, you’ll need to go into the app called Cinema.
This app looks like a little yellow movie ticket with the word “Cinema” in it. 

If you are having a hard time finding the apps follow these instructions:

Go to the homepage of your Firestick. 
(if you are unsure where that is, press the home button on your remote and it will always take you to the homepage.)
> Once home, long press the home button until a menu comes up on your television screen.
> In this menu, choose the icon that says “apps”.
> This action will bring up every app that installed in your stick. Look for the apps in this list. 

Be sure to stick to your handout sheet so none of the apps ask you to pay. If you didn’t receive a handout sheet, shoot us a text or email us so we can forward you one.
A good rule of thumb is if you are being asked to pay, you are not in the correct place.

Once you find the Cinema app, open it and go to the menu and make sure you have selected “TV Shows”.
The menu is the three lines in the upper right hand corner of your television screen within the Cinema app. Go to the three lines and press enter.
Select “TV Shows” and press enter on your remote.

Here is what the Cinema app looks like.

Select “TV Shows” in the menu that comes out from the left.

Now the “TV Shows” option is selected.
Go to the upside down arrow at the top of the directly left to the “Menu” and press enter.

Scroll down the list that drops down and the Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Originals are FREE within this app.

Please note. all the Originals that each of these companies have rights to are in these lists.
If you wish to watch a regular movie, go to the “magnifying glass” in the upper right hand corner of your television screen and press enter to do a search.

 

I don't see any of the apps on my home screen.

If you are having a hard time finding the apps follow these instructions:

Go to the homepage of your Firestick. 
(if you are unsure where that is, press the home button on your remote and it will always take you to the homepage.)
> Once home, long press the home button until a menu comes up on your television screen.
> In this menu, choose the icon that says “apps”.
> This action will bring up every app that installed in your stick. Look for your apps in this list.

You can also move the apps you use on a regular basis to the top of the list by highlighting the particular app you wish to move with your Firestick remote without opening it, then press the button on your remote with the three lines on it while looking at the bottom of your television screen.
There, you will see a menu to where you can “move to front” or “pin to front”

DO NOT UNINSTALL

If you uninstall any of the apps on your device, you will then lose it and will need to send your device to us or bring it to one of our locations and pay to have it re-installed.

Why are the apps asking me to pay?

Not all apps on the Amazon Firestick are Free! This is why Amazon sells the Firestick, they make revenue off the purchase of programing, If you do not have Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu and such and do not wish to pay for them, then please just stick to the available Free apps on your Firestick.

Why is my Firestick telling me that I have storage issues and need to delete apps?

This is most likely due to two reasons:

1. You have downloaded too many apps onto your device and need to go into the settings and uninstall some.
If you need a list of which ones you need to keep, text or email us for a picture of those, so you don’t uninstall them.
Here are instructions on how to uninstall apps:

> Go to the homepage of your Firestick.
(if you are unsure where that is, just press the home button on your remote.)
> Go to “Settings” in the upper right corner.
> “Applications”
> “Manage Installed Applications”
> Go to each app that you are no longer using or is not ours and press enter.
> In the menu that comes up, “Uninstall”

2. You have on purpose or accidentally downloaded content from one of the apps.
This usually happens in the Cinema app.
NEVER press the download button in any the apps or it will download that particular TV show or Movie onto your device. 
This is stated TWICE on the handout sheet that you should have received and read upon purchase.
Your device only has 8 gigs of memory.
Everyday cellphones have more memory than that. That’s because your device is meant for streaming, not downloading. That means you don’t need to download anything to watch it. You watch it over the internet, like a YouTube video or Netflix.

> Try going into the app called Cinema and then once open, go to the Menu in the upper left hand corner of your television screen. It is the “three lines”, this is the Menu.
>Go to the bottom to “Downloads”
> If there is anything in there that you have downloaded, delete it.

You may need to have your device factory reset.
Hopefully, this is not the case because there is a reprogramming fee for our time.
